Challenges, Opportunities and Analysis of the Machining Characteristics in hybrid Aluminium Composites (Al6061-SiC-Al2O3 ) Produced by Stir Casting Method

Metal matrix composites of Aluminium are finding increasing applications across a wide range industries, including the automotive and aerospace amongst others. When third constituent is added to metal matrix, production hybrid compound commences. This body work presents findings an investigation into surface roughness properties aluminum (Al6061-SiC-Al2O3) composites. Some exper- imental investigations were carried out using lathe. The stir casting method technique employed in field liquid metallurgy. In this technique, base was infused with 4, 8, 12 percent by weight SiC Al2O3 particles, respectively. allowed for end-result cast handled great deal care atten- tion detail. parameters such as feed rate, cutting speed, depth cut that known influence investigated. study demonstrated increase rate leads rise sur- face roughness, but speed decrease roughness.
